Parts for the anchor winch have to come from Amsterdam!!! I cant wait that long.

Dhiren from Taylor Smith Boatyard is arranging to have parts machined locally so I can get underway. May have to have the parts from Amsterdam flown to Cape Town if I still require them. Will know after we see the locally machined parts.

Dhiren also fixing a burn out in a fuse holder on the new solar panels. May just need a heavier duty fuse holder.

I’m aiming to depart Port Louis on Saturday or before if the anchor winch parts are OK and solar panel repaired. Refuelled and water topped up.

Will sail direct to Cape Town, by passing Durban. That will mean Christmas at sea. I will celebrate Christmas with a ginger nut biscuit or two.
