Lat 029.25 South, 109.47 East. Wind – 25knots from SE. Sea – moderate swell.

Fresh south east winds. 1 Reef in the mainsail, a small amount of headsail out to keep the boat on course. Autopilot working perfectly.

I am taking 100L water sample per day for microplastic analysis. The pump and filter system working well.

The depth sounder shows I am in 5,530m of water. My boat draws 2m. I don’t think I’ll hit the bottom.

I saw a fishing boat yesterday on AIS.

I filmed myself cooking with the camera mounted in the cabin. I don’t think I’ll win an Oscar. I need a bit more practice to get the hang of it.

In a couple of hours time I will have to switch my chart plotter from the Australia and New Zealand charts to the charts for Brazil and Africa.
